Meet Your Healer

My path to becoming a holistic healer and mental health counselor is deeply rooted in my own healing journey. I was raised in a small rural community outside Asheville, North Carolina, on my family’s seventh-generation apple farm. Born into a lineage marked by generational trauma, I knew from a young age that I was meant to be a “chain breaker”—to heal, grow, and guide others do the same.

While my upbringing instilled resilience and a strong work ethic, it also revealed the importance of rewriting our own stories. I became the first in my family to attend a four-year college, graduating early from Western Carolina University with a B.S. in Communications and Entrepreneurship in 2007. I went on to earn an M.A.Ed. in College Administration in 2012 and spent the first decade of my career working in education, where I discovered my passion for helping people achieve their goals.

In 2020, I felt called to deepen that work and shifted into the field of mental health counseling. I earned my second master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University in 2024 and am now a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in North Carolina.

Beyond my academic training, I’ve spent over a decade studying holistic healing modalities including energy work, bodywork, mindfulness, meditation, and somatic practices. A significant part of my journey has been through wildernessFusion, an earth-based healing and awareness school rooted in the philosophy of choice. There, I completed five years in the NIASZIIH healing program, three years of bodywork training, and am currently in the Shaman’s Kitchen Teacher Training program. I’ve also completed over 400 hours in primal and presence psychology classes, learning tracking skills and expanding my approach to include ancient, non-dogmatic methods of healing.

Outside of my practice, I’m a wife to a local optometrist, mom to two incredible kids, and dog mom to Teak, our Mini Australian Labradoodle and future therapy dog. I co-lead the Winston-Salem NIASZIIH Healing Clinic, where I volunteer monthly in service to the local community.

I come alive through nourishing food, creative projects, and movement—especially hiking, strength training, and spontaneous living room dance parties. I love exploring new places, listening to live music and sound baths, and collecting crystals and inspirational books. I'm a lifelong learner and an old soul who believes in remembering who we truly are—so we can inspire others to do the same.
